The Western Shooter's Ass. is a secretariat of Cape SAAACA founded to offer a platform for Firearms Collectors and historically interested people focusing on the American Wild West, roughly spanning the period of the 19th century. Of particular interest amongst our members are as yet:

• Colt s/a revolvers, either cap 'n' ball, cartridge or conversions
• Smith & Wesson 3rd model top break revolvers
• Winchester l/a rifles and shotguns and slide action shotguns of the period.

Historical Fields of Interest include so far:

• Famous personalities of the period such as Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday, the James / Younger Gang, etc.
• The lifestyle of the Cowboy and his role in society.

The Wild West genre and the Cowboy in the movie industry lend themselves very well to discussion and it is really up to everyone participating in this forum to build on the platform provided and shape the product that may result.
